Electromechanical Assembler
Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler (WEEKEND SHIFT)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electromechanical Assembler to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of flight harnesses and avionics systems. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of quality control practices, with experience adhering to industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA STD 8739.4.

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ( you will work 36 hours, but be paid for 40)

1st shift: 6am to 6:30pm

$30 - $31/hr

Contract to Hire

Responsibilities

Perform soldering and assembly tasks under a microscope.Fabricate flight harnesses using essential tools and test equipment.Conduct soldering, crimping, stripping, and assembly of spacecraft harnesses.Carry out quality assurance inspections on completed harness builds.Interpret wire harness schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.Apply quality control methodologies and identify components for harness builds.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Perform job functions safely and professionally in a cleanroom environment.

Essential Skills

2–4 years of experience in harness fabrication.Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA STD 8739.4 standards.Basic understanding of electronic components and manufacturing processes.Ability to read and interpret BOMs, assembly drawings, and work instructions.Proficient with computers and general software tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with J-STD-001 certification is a plus.5+ years of experience in soldering cables, wires, soldering cups, and connectors.3+ years of experience building wire harnesses.Knowledge of IPC 620 & J STD (not 610).Ability to read blueprints and schematics on electronic devices.U.S. Citizenship is required.Ability to adhere to cleanroom guidelines.High school diploma.Ability to lift 10-20 lbs.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a cleanroom environment, with 80% of tasks performed under a microscope. The work schedule is Friday to Sunday, 6 AM to 6:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week with compensation for 40 hours. The role requires adherence to cleanroom protocols and involves the use of microscopes and other specialized equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
