Electromechanical Assembler

Currently hiring 1st shift Electromechanical Assemblers in the Lockport, IL area. Hiring immediately.

DescriptionPerform standardized and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly, including box builds.Conduct Wire/Cable/Harness assembly.Execute SMT and/or through-hole hand soldering.Inspect electrical and mechanical assemblies, chassis, cables, and harnesses for defects.Prepare for assembly by cutting wire, stripping, wiring and fastening connections, and pulling kits.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Essential Skills3+ years of equivalent assembly experience and/or military technical training.Proficiency in assembly, soldering, and reading blueprints and schematics.Mechanical and electronic assembly skills.Experience in wiring.Fine point soldering experience.Good attitude and reliability.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and understand work instructions, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and engineering change orders.Mechanical inclination and proficiency in using hand tools and small power tools.Ability to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification is a plus.Strong attention to detail.Ability to follow verbal instructions and written procedures.Solid judgment and decision-making skills.Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.Work Environment

The position is for the 1st shift, 7 am - 3:30 pm, with an expectation of openness to working overtime and Saturdays. The work environment is a quiet facility where you will sit at your own workspace or workbench to perform required tasks. You will have the flexibility to work at your own pace, though you must be able to meet deadlines. The role requires the ability to perform repetitive operations with excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. You should be capable of regularly lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
