**Job Title: Electromechanic**
**Job Description**
Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and listening for issues while using precision measuring and testing instruments.
**Responsibilities**
+ Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
+ Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
+ Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments with hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
+ Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
+ Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels and placing and expediting orders.
+ Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
+ Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
+ Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
+ Troubleshoot PLC hardware and programming.
+ Work with control circuits, software, and relay logic/schematics.
+ Handle high voltage power and replace or program VFD, HMI, and electrical components as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5+ years of experience in electromechanical maintenance.
+ Technical or university degree or equivalent on-the-job experience.
+ Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
+ Working knowledge of schematic reading, AC/DC electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
+ Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of packing equipment and freezer systems is a plus.
+ Strong sense of safety and the ability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, squat, and lift up to 50lbs.
+ Color vision required.

**Work Environment**
The position offers three shifts: 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm, 2nd shift from 2:30pm-11pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6:30am. Openings are available for one electromechanic on the 1st shift, one electromechanic and one mechanic on the 2nd shift, and two positions on the 3rd shift.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
