We are looking for a Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Test Engineer who will focus on compliance of avionics and payload/antenna subsystems for our low-earth-orbit satellite.

Key job responsibilities
- Working with hardware design teams as a subject matter expert in electromagnetic environmental effects testing throughout the development process, including: Test requirements; Test Readiness Reviews; EMC test and support; Test Report Documentation
- Development and maintenance of EMC test software and report generation
- Support of EMC equipment calibration and maintenance
- Completion of EMC test procedures and test reports, support teams with test configurations, and perform testing to the MIL-STD-461 and/or DO-160 requirements
- Collaboration with teams for definition and support of LRU cable harnesses, loads, and test racks for EMC testing
- Definition and coordination of EMI/EMC test scheduling for all satellite electronic subsystems and vehicle/spacecraft level
- Troubleshooting/Development investigation testing in conjunction with Avionics teams across Amazon Leo

A day in the life
The Amazon Leo Electrical Engineering team is responsible for architecture and development of satellite bus systems as well as working across payloads on design and development of complex communications systems. In addition to satellite systems, we also play a key role in the development of the Leo Customer Terminal.

The team delivers in multiple areas such as bus development, payload development, embedded SW, signal integrity, power, PCB development, and EMC test. The team includes hardware-in-the-loop development for satellite systems to build out an extensive set of test systems for validated satellite systems.
