Electro Mechanical Technologist
Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Build TechnicianJob Description As an Electro-Mechanical Build Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and delivery teams in setting up automated manufacturing lines and in the assembly, testing, and validation of electrical and mechanical components integral to our fusion energy systems. Your technical skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach are fundamental to our success. Responsibilities + Lead the assembly, installation, and maintenance of our fusion systems. + Receive deliveries and control inventory of equipment and manufacturing supplies. + Engage in rapid prototyping for fusion technology applications. + Support the engineering team during the design, development, and testing phases of the fusion system. + Help troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. + Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure systems integration and effectiveness. + Play a key role in setting up the manufacturing site by installing equipment, facilities, and storage. + Draft and finalize SOPs, safety procedures, and other related documentation. + Maintain the manufacturing environment via 5S principles, ensuring all tools, equipment, and workspaces are clean, safe, and organized. + Comply with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Essential Skills + Minimum 2 years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing hands-on setting. + 1+ years experience with CAD software and technical drawings for viewing and interpreting design schematics. + 2+ years of experience troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems. + Proficiency in using schematics, electromechanical, and automation systems. + Experience with CAD software, schematics diagrams, and blueprints. + Skillful in operating machine shop tools such as lathe, mill, CNC, and drill press. + Ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical and automated systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Has or can easily obtain a driving certification for forklift and proficiency with hand power tools. + Experience with automation equipment and processes is a plus. + Experience in setting up a new manufacturing facility, ideally in a startup environment, is advantageous. + Experience owning and mastering machine shop tools is beneficial. + Experience with building out a team by interviewing, hiring, and training other technicians is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $58.00/hr.
