Electro-Mechanical / Optical Assembly Technician
Summary
Responsible for electro-mechanical, mechanical, and optical assembly of medical device components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, following established work instructions and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical, electronic, and optical assembly, rework, inspection, and testing
Solder electronic components and assemble mechanical parts
Clean, inspect, bond, UV cure, and align optical elements
Install and test sensors and optical filters
Follow ESD, safety, and quality system requirements
Assemble production, prototype, and pilot builds
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Qualifications
2–3 years of optical/mechanical assembly experience preferred
Basic soldering skills (certification a plus)
Ability to read drawings and work instructions
Knowledge of medical device quality standards (FDA QSR, ISO)
Experience using hand tools and small parts
Basic computer skills (MS Office/ERP)
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
