**Job Title: Electrician Technician**
**Job Description**
An Electrician installs basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Run rigid (1.5 inch) pipe down to gear box.
+ Wire 3 way switches.
+ Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
+ Install and mount electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
+ Perform interlock wiring as required.
+ Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.
+ Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
+ Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
+ Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
+ Read contract drawings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with Electrical Distribution systems and wiring up to 480V.
+ Ability to install conduit, wireways, pull wiring/cables, and terminate cables.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and control wiring diagrams.
+ Commercial background.
+ Journeyman or Master level with at least 4 years of experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3rd or 4th year apprentice electrician.
+ Experience bending and installing rigid 1.5 inch pipe.
+ Ability to perform some modifications as seen fit.
+ Experience wiring.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a manufacturing setting. PPE, including a hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses, is required and provided, except for steel toed boots. The shift is Monday to Thursday from 5:30am to 4pm, and Friday from 5:30am to 1:30pm, allowing for plenty of overtime. Enjoy working in a nice manufacturing facility with room for growth.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
