As an Electrican you will be required to perform or assist in performing a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Responsibilities + Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment. + Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locates and diagnoses trouble in the electrical system or equipment. + Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment. + Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications + Minimum Qualifications: + The work of the electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience + Minimum of 3 years of experience as a state licensed journeyman electrician • Must have a trade school certificate and hold 3 years’ experience with a state license as a journeyman electrician + Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards, must be trained and certified per NAVFAC MO-200 + Must possess a Driver’s License with at least 6 months of remaining validity + Must have a vaild passport with 1 year remaining validity + Must be able to lift 5 lbs up to 50lbs unassited. + Must be able to sucessful pass a background check and medical questionaire + Experience + Minimum of three (3) years' of experience as an electrician. + Skills + General knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the electrical trade. + Must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. + Able to read and interpret Work Orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals in order to accomplish assigned duties + Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation, and teamwork + Able to maneuver in small spaces + Operates motor vehicles + Working Environment + Shift work and/or flexible working hours and/or overtime and/or assigned rest day rotation may be required + Subject environmental conditions activities can occur both inside and outside + May be subject to working in warehouse or confine spaces + Physical Activities + Physically capable of working in hot or warm weather all year long, with little change in seasons. + Works in conditions, including but not limited to, elevated platforms including but not limited to 120ft, Electrical PPE such as ARC flash suits and rubber protective gear ladders, hand and power tools and test equipment At V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
