**Job Title: Electrician** **Job Description**
This position involves working on commercial and industrial projects, including bending EMT, stainless steel, and rigid conduit, and running wires through them. Work often takes place at client sites, focusing on conveyor systems and other automated equipment requiring electrical expertise. Projects can range from short assignments requiring travel to longer-term engagements lasting several months, and may include low-voltage work like running CAT5 cable for data and communication systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform electrical work on commercial and industrial projects.
+ Bend EMT, stainless steel, and rigid conduit and run wire through them.
+ Service conveyor systems and address electrical components that technicians cannot repair.
+ Work on automated equipment requiring electrical expertise.
+ Travel between sites for smaller projects and commit to longer-term engagements.
+ Handle low-voltage tasks such as running CAT5 cables.
**Essential Skills**
+ Competent electrician with the ability to work independently.
+ Strong understanding of electrical theory, including 480v, relay logic, and NEC.
+ Ability to bend conduit and install basic controls.
+ Knowledge of sizing circuits up to 30 amps.
+ Experience with electrical wiring, low voltage, schematics, cables, lighting, and installation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working under a Master Electrician.
+ Proficiency with tools such as drills, impacts, unibits, and sawzalls.
+ Ability to work at heights of 40-50 ft on a scissor/boom lift.
+ Capable of learning quickly and working with minimal instruction.

**Work Environment**
Work in new builds such as warehouses and commercial buildings, or in industrial facilities on conveyor lines and automated equipment/control panels. Depending on project locations, travel may be required, either using your own vehicle or with a colleague from the workshop in Indianapolis.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
