Job Description

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician and a 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice for a lighting and fire alarm upgrade project in the southeast of Calgary. This project involves working in an operational warehouse, requiring proficiency in working at heights using lifts.

Responsibilities

Perform lighting and fire alarm upgrades in an operational warehouse.Work at heights using lifts to carry out electrical tasks.Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.Install and maintain conduit systems and cable trays.Pull cables and perform cable terminations.Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Essential Skills

Electrical installation and maintenance.Experience with conduit systems and pulling cables.Ability to work at heights and use aerial work platforms.Journeyman Electrician certification or 2nd/3rd year Apprentice status.Commercial electrical experience.AWP/EWP and Fall certifications are required.

Work Environment

The project takes place at a warehouse facility, with a team of 12 employees. Overtime is available after 44 hours in a week. The project runs from December 3rd to December 16th. Proper PPE including steel-toed boots, hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses are required, and coveralls can be provided if needed. Workers must bring their own hand tools.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $42.00/hr.
