Job Title: Electrical Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Test Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in the development and testing of cutting-edge technologies. You will work closely with engineers in a lab environment to construct and operate test loops for new products across all our product lines. This hands-on position demands a strong understanding of electrical principles, proficiency with various test equipment, and in-depth knowledge of instrumentation and controls, particularly with a focus on the practical aspects of wiring and configuring these systems.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain test loops, including the selection, installation, and wiring of instrumentation and control components such as sensors, actuators, valves, and controllers.Interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics to accurately connect devices.Select and install appropriate wiring, connectors, and cabling for various signals and environments.Ensure proper grounding and shielding to minimize noise and interference.Configure and calibrate a wide range of instrumentation and control devices, including pressure sensors, temperature transmitters, and control valves.Set up and operate data acquisition systems to collect and analyze test data from various sensors and instruments.Select appropriate sampling rates and data logging parameters.Use software tools to visualize and analyze data, identify trends, and generate reports.Diagnose and resolve issues related to instrumentation, control systems, and electrical circuits within the test loop.

Essential Skills

Strong understanding of electrical principles.Proficiency with various test equipment.In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and controls.Experience in production, assembly, ceramics, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.Skill in configuring and calibrating control devices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $50.00/hr.
