The Electrical Test Engineer II is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of hardware and embedded firmware systems. This role focuses on developing automated test solutions, executing comprehensive test plans, and collaborating closely with hardware and firmware engineers to identify and resolve complex technical issues throughout the product development lifecycle. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute test plans and automated test cases for hardware and embedded firmwareDesign and maintain test automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiencyPerform in-depth firmware debugging and analysis directly on hardware platformsTest and integrate PCBs, sensors, and communication interfaces with embedded firmwareIdentify, isolate, and document hardware and firmware defects and provide corrective recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and validationPrepare detailed test reports outlining results, risks, and improvement opportunitiesQualifications and RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution2+ years’ experience in circuit design, analysis, and electronic componentsProficiency in embedded firmware development using C/C++Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generatorsExperience with schematic capture tools, IDEs, and CAD softwareYour New Organization
