Electrical Test Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Test EngineerJob Description

Join a dynamic team focused on launching a new lithium-ion forklift battery, designed and manufactured in-house. This role involves testing cutting-edge lithium battery solutions across various applications, from motive power to green energy grid storage. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, engaging in all stages of the product design process.

ResponsibilitiesConduct experimental tests, analyze test data, and write test reports.Create test plans and procedures to support production test system development.Work with external laboratories to test and qualify products to applicable standards.Collaborate with software teams on device bring-up, hardware integration, and system development.Develop and execute hardware integration, verification, validation, and qualification plans.Lead and participate in internal and external design reviews.Collaborate with third-party suppliers and subcontract manufacturers.Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) activities.Engage in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design to Cost (DTC) activities.Essential SkillsBachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.Understanding of power electronics and mixed signal electronics.Strong analytic problem-solving skills.Experience preparing product and engineering technical specifications.Proficient with Altium or similar tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.Ability to work effectively in a team.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of energy storage and control in lithium-ion battery packs.Experience with high voltage and high-power electronics.Ability to assemble prototypes with Surface Mount Device (SMD) components.Experience with Configuration Management and Product Lifecycle Management tools.Familiarity with SolidWorks 3D CAD or similar for mechanical design.Knowledge of microprocessor-based controller design and testing.Understanding of communication circuits and protocols such as CAN, Serial, Ethernet.Familiarity with low-level software development, including device drivers and scripting languages.Work Environment

This position requires on-site daily work at our Alpharetta, GA facility. The typical work environment is an engineering office, with occasional field and factory visits. Flexible working hours are offered, with core hours from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday. The candidate should be prepared to work 40 hours a week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $49.00/hr.
