This position supports electrical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation tasks under the direction of a supervisor. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong initiative, the ability to shift tasks quickly, and a commitment to completing assignments efficiently and on schedule. Roles and Responsibilities · Perform basic electrical tasks, including component installation, wiring, soldering, and harness preparation. · Conduct basic electrical testing on components and subassemblies under supervision. · Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and test instruments safely and correctly. · Read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and work instructions. · Identify missing or unclear information and escalate as needed. · Accurately document work performed in logs, travelers, or build records. · Complete assigned tasks on or ahead of schedule through efficient planning and time management. · Adjust quickly to shifting priorities, changing work assignments, and evolving project needs. · Follow direction from supervisor and communicate progress or issues promptly. · Actively participate in on-the-job training to develop technical skills and industry knowledge. · Work toward obtaining required electrical certifications, licenses, or degree programs as part of career progression. · Apply learned skills to progressively more complex tasks. · Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and equipment procedures. · Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area. Basic Qualifications · Possess a valid Driver’s License · Must be eligible to obtain security clearance · Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent · Basic understanding of electrical principles and components. · Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and BOMs. · Foundational soldering skills (surface mount or through-hole preferred). · Ability to use multimeters or other basic test equipment. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy. · Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team. · Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn. · Ability to sit, stand, bend, and use hands for extended periods. · Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed. · Comfortable working around energized equipment under proper supervision.
