Position: Electrical Technician
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5hrs)

As an Electrical Technician, you’ll play a key role in the design, wiring, and integration of robotic systems. Using your practical electrical engineering skills, you’ll help deliver innovative, high-quality automation solutions that embody Labman’s mission to enable science through technology.
What You’ll Do:
Participate in the full life cycle of engineering projects, including installation and commissioning (potentially worldwide)Design and develop electrical systems for bespoke robotic solutions, including power circuits, motors, sensors, and safety systemsRead and interpret electrical drawings, wiring panels, and peripheral hardware to a high standardLoom, label, and terminate cables and pneumatic lines neatly and accuratelyEnsure all systems meet EU and ISO standards, directives, and safety legislationCommunicate effectively with project leaders, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project deliverySupport fault finding, testing, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycleWhat You’ll Need:
HNC (Level 4) or higher in Electrical / Electronic Engineering Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience Strong ability to interpret IEC circuit diagrams and component datasheets Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills Clear communication and teamworking abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Effective time and task managementDesirable:
Experience using SEE Electrical or similar drawing packagesFamiliarity with industrial fieldbuses, functional safety (ISO 13849), and diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators) Basic soldering and prototyping skills Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase systems, DC power circuits, and servo/stepper motorsCompany benefits:
