Join a pioneering team dedicated to reducing space transportation costs and enabling the colonization of Mars with Space-X. As an Electrical Data & Controls Technician, you will be instrumental in designing, manufacturing, and launching advanced rockets and spacecraft, including the Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, and Starship.
Pay Rate:
Level 1: $28.00 - $31.00/hour
Level 2: $32.00 - $37.00/hour
Level 3: $38.00 - $43.00/hour
Level 4: $44.00 - $45.00/hour
Per Diem Allowance:
Qualified Candidates will in addition receive $128.00 a day up to 7 Days in Per Diem for contract portion of this assignment (up to but to not exceed 12 months)
ResponsibilitiesInstall and terminate wiring for pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs.Perform continuity checks and correct wiring errors using measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators.Support fellow technicians and engineering employees using shop assembly equipment and hand tools.Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data.Write, create, and organize work planning documents and instructions.Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.Lead complex projects with minimal oversight.Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable tray.Install cable and cable assemblies.Build intricate cable assemblies using Mil-C connectors and contacts.Troubleshoot AC power distribution equipment up to 480VAC.Build, terminate, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware.Fabricate support structures, enclosures, and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate (required)Associate degree in Aerospace Technology or other technical field (preferred)2+ years of professional experience working with instrumentation such as transducers, accelerometers, or thermocouples.Basic understanding of direct current electrical theory (required)Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools (required)Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-based systems (required)Experience performing wire terminations, wire routing and wire harness fabrication (required)2+ years of hands-on experience with launch site instrumentation (preferred).Experience with ISO 9000, IPC-620, and ICP-610 standards (a plus).

Work Environment
The role is based in a state-of-the-art facility offering a climate-controlled environment. You will work alongside a team dedicated to innovation in space technology. The position requires hands-on work with advanced electrical equipment and technologies. Must be ok with work 10 - 12 hour shifts 5 - 6 days a week. Shifts start at either 6:00 AM or 6:00 PM most days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa, Florida.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $44.00/hr.
