We are Recruiting on Purpose an experienced Electrical Substation CAD Designer for a Remote Position. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and team-oriented and proficient with AutoCAD Electrical. The CAD Designer works alongside engineers designing and drafting high voltage electrical substations, primarily from 46 to 500 kV. Candidate must be a responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual.

Required Skills and Qualifications

5+ years of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical experience Proficiency with Microsoft® Office 365 Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact and work comfortably with clients and associates of various backgrounds and abilities Must be self-motivated with the ability to efficiently manage time with a minimum of supervision Service-oriented attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Effective problem solving skills Strong organizational and project planning skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Two-year degree from an accredited university Experience with designing in CAD of protection and controls of electrical substations Experience working with investor-owned utilities. Familiarity with MicroStation

The CAD Designer may be asked to work extended hours occasionally in order to meet project deadlines. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test prior to employment.
