Position Summary

In your role as an Electrical Safety Coordinator you'll be a crucial team member in maintaining safety and compliance in electrical work across semiconductor fabrication and facilities.

You'll be responsible to owning processes, collaborating with various departments, providing technical advice, and continuously improving practices to protect personnel, equipment, and operations from electrical hazards.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Establish, implement and continuously improve safety processes to address the unique needs of electrical power distribution in a facilities and semiconductor fabrication environment.

Act as primary department interface to Environmental, Health & Safety personnel and Program Managers.  Manage incident response, Tier 1 site audits and water-falling information about changes to the site Electrical Safety Program, as required.

Provide support for other (non-electrical) departmental safety concerns, when necessary.

Provide technical support for new and existing equipment from a safety perspective utilizing prevention –through-design principles and conduct equipment and planned work risk assessments, in support of Risk Inspection and Change Management processes to identify hazards and verify or develop mitigation measures.

Manage the site Electrical Energized Work (EEW) Specification and EEW Reduction and Safety Program.

Provide electrical safety training to support site competency goals for Qualified Electrical Workers (QEW), personnel performing Energized Electrical Work (EEW) and tool/maintenance technicians across site

Provide Electrical Code training to support continuing education of engineers and technicians related to new code changes, new electrical safety technologies, etc.

Manage department monthly closed-loop “Sequential Safety Meeting” process.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

High School Diploma or GED

5+ years of progressively responsible and transferable field experience as a safety professional

Strong ability to manage safety compliance program and drive safety culture and continuous improvement

Safety Certification(s) - Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) or equivalent (Preferred).

Strong ability to provide effective training to qualified electricians, apprentices, and tool technicians and non-electrical personnel(NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910 Subpart S) (Preferred).

The current base salary range for this role is between $57,760 - $127,770. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

Eligible full-time employees (salaried or hourly) may also receive MBO bonuses based on company, division, and individual performance.
