Huntsville, AL | Full-Time Consultant (12 Months) | 4×10 Schedule (Mon–Thu)
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing Planner to support advanced manufacturing programs in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you’ll help turn complex designs into executable manufacturing plans—ensuring electrical and electronic products are built efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
The Role & Its ImpactAs a Manufacturing Planner, you will bridge engineering, production, and suppliers to define how aerospace hardware is built. Your planning expertise will directly impact product quality, delivery commitments, and cost control across mission-critical aerospace programs.
This is a 100% onsite role supporting A and B shifts on a 4×10 schedule (Monday–Thursday). Shift assignment will be determined based on team needs, with training beginning on first shift.
What You’ll Do Day to DayIn this role, you will:
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Material (BOMs), work instructions, and illustrations
Define and document as-built product configurations
Support supplier integration for processes, materials, data, and technologies
Review supplier data to ensure manufacturing requirements are met
Identify tooling requirements and initiate tooling orders based on engineering and manufacturing needs
Assist with tooling disposition activities
Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues of limited scope
Support reproducibility assessments for part and product designs
Provide input to design, manufacturing processes, and technologies to meet cost and schedule objectives
Develop work statements and event sequencing to support delivery commitments
Review, maintain, and monitor internal manufacturing documentation
Work under general supervision in a collaborative, high-technology environment
Required Qualifications4+ years of experience in manufacturing planning and production support
Experience using CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
Ability to read, interpret, and enforce standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawings
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Availability to support either first or second shift
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). STEM-focused Associate’s degree
Experience with Model-Based Design
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with MESci or similar manufacturing execution systems
Experience with Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems such as CompassContract
Experience with Windchill or similar engineering data management systems
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences
Typical Education & ExperienceAssociate’s degree with typically 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 3 candidates typically bring 4+ years of related experience or equivalent technical background

Pay Details: $41.91 per hour
