Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Join our team as an Electrical Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a vital role in supporting high-speed printing, converting, and finishing operations. You will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and facility repairs to ensure reliable, efficient production across a diverse packaging environment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and building systems.Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust motors, belts, drives, gears, and bearings.Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, manuals, and diagrams.Use hand/power tools and precision instruments for repairs and installations.Disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble equipment using hoists, cranes, and rigging tools.Install and align new machinery and mechanical systems.Maintain accurate maintenance records and track repair costs.Order and manage parts inventory.Perform general building repairs, including painting, drywall, flooring, doors, and windows.Weld, cut, and fabricate metal components.Build and maintain wooden structures such as benches, partitions, and sheds.Inspect and adjust machine components to meet dimensional specifications.Maintain specialized facility equipment including kitchen, laundry, and office systems.Install and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures per codes and blueprints.Inspect electrical systems for hazards and wear.Test circuits and components using multimeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, breakers, and transformers.Install conduit, wiring, outlets, and switches.Ensure safety compliance and identify electrical/mechanical hazards.Essential Skills
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including low-voltage and 3-phase 460V.Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and parts breakdowns.Machine rebuild experience.Strong skills in preventive maintenance.Basic pipefitting knowledge.Experience with 480V and 110V electrical systems.Ability to diagnose and repair motors, drives, and PLCs.Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.Experience using hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment.Strong safety awareness and code compliance.Ability to maintain accurate documentation and work independently.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Relevant vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance or electrical systems.Current electrician’s license preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Functional knowledge of arc-flash protection equipment and safe electrical work practices.Ability to safely operate conduit benders and other position-specific tools and equipment.Strong ability to read, interpret, and follow schematics and technical diagrams.Capability to program drives and PLCs for troubleshooting and system adjustments.Working knowledge of electrical codes and compliance requirements.Ability to safely and properly operate all tools and equipment required for the role.Willingness and availability to work overtime as needed.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our facility designs and manufactures high-quality custom paperboard packaging for consumer brands, focusing on innovative printing and efficient production. Work shifts are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
