**Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician**
Job Description
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative electrical maintenance on equipment, inspecting, testing, and diagnosing issues with electrical systems and components. You will also perform standard electrical repairs and troubleshooting throughout the facility, install new equipment and wiring, and complete electrical projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative electrical maintenance on equipment following provided processes.
+ Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components.
+ Perform standard electrical repairs and troubleshooting throughout the facility.
+ Install new equipment and wiring to expand operations or replace units.
+ Complete electrical projects provided by supervision.
+ Follow all safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
+ Familiarity with confined space and lock out, tag out policies.
+ Detect defects in equipment and make proper repairs or adjustments.
+ Interpret and work from pencil sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.
+ Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations.
+ Keep records of all maintenance and repair work.
+ Update management on parts or equipment that need replacement or cannot be repaired.
+ Work closely with other team members in the maintenance department.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Strong background in electrical systems and mechanical knowledge.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficiency in performing maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
+ Tolerance for bending, standing, and walking for long periods.
+ 20-20 vision with or without prescribed eyeglasses, speaking ability, and hearing accuracy.
+ Manual dexterity and the ability to move or carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.
+ Able to tolerate working on the shop floor all day.
+ PLC troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An associate degree in industrial electrical or equivalent, or enrollment in an accredited program working towards the degree.
+ Certification as an Electrical Technician is a plus.

Work Environment
This position operates on the 3rd shift from Tuesday to Friday, 8 PM to 6 AM, in a metal finishing facility. The environment includes working with machines that range from 10-50 years old, within one of the oldest buildings in Manitowoc that has expanded over the years. The metal finishing process involves dipping metal into tubs of wash, acid, and finishing products.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
