**Job Title: Electrical Helper Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Helper Technician to join our team, working on multiple commercial projects throughout the year. This position involves installing and repairing commercial electrical systems in compliance with electrical code manuals, reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics, and utilizing hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment. **Responsibilities** + Install and repair commercial electrical systems in compliance with electrical code manuals. + Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. + Use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment effectively. + Maintain a high standard of integrity and professionalism. + Provide reliable transportation. + Work overtime when required. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of Electrical Experience or 1.5+ years of Construction Experience. + Ability to follow electrical code manuals. + Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. + Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment. + Basic math and problem-solving skills. + Entry-level electrical experience. + 3rd or 4th-year electrical apprentice. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Valid driver's license or reliable transportation. + Must have either a high school diploma or GED. + Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch and perform basic math efficiently. + Ability to align colored wires accurately. + Capability to lift 35-50 lbs consistently throughout the day. + Ability to handle criticism appropriately. **Why Work Here?** Join a reputable company committed to quality work and timely completion of projects. Work hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 am and typically lasting 8-9 hours. Punctuality is essential, and attendance is strictly monitored. Dress code includes jeans without holes, professional t-shirts, and work boots. All necessary PPE will be provided, but candidates must have basic hand tools and a pouch. The work environment is blue-collar and focused on quality workmanship. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
