**Hiring Electrical Foreman**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled Foreman Electrician to lead our commercial electrical construction projects. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, from ordering materials to managing manpower and scheduling inspections. The foreman will also perform hands-on electrical work, ensuring that installations and repairs meet NEC standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as the foreman will supervise crews and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. A commitment to safety and quality is paramount, with regular safety inspections and adherence to electrical codes and construction practices.
**Responsibilities**
+ Order materials and manage project manpower.
+ Schedule and oversee inspections.
+ Perform hands-on electrical work in compliance with NEC standards.
+ Supervise crews and serve as the primary contact for clients.
+ Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure adherence to electrical codes and construction practices.
+ Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
+ Minimize waste of materials and ensure access for future maintenance.
+ Install system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC and NFPA.
+ Prepare sketches or follow diagrams or blueprints for wiring and equipment placement.
+ Cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using appropriate tools.
+ Pull wiring through conduit and splice wires as needed.
+ Connect wiring to control and distribution apparatus.
+ Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
+ Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards or needed adjustments.
+ Repair faulty equipment or systems as needed.
+ Assess and adjust priorities to meet project requirements and objectives.
+ Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in electrician work and blueprint reading.
+ Skilled in conduit bending, wiring, and troubleshooting.
+ Experience in commercial construction and pulling wire.
+ Strong leadership and communication abilities.
+ Commitment to safety and quality in electrical work.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to plan new or modified installations to minimize waste and ensure future maintenance.
+ Experience in installing system components and wiring in compliance with NEC and NFPA.
+ Proficiency in using tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
+ Ability to test and ensure electrical compatibility using testing instruments.

**Work Environment**
Work in commercial construction sites across the Chicagoland area, with a requirement for full personal protective equipment (PPE) at all sites.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Park, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
