Aplin is searching for an Electrical Estimator to join a growing team in Calgary, AB. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Tradesperson or Electrical Technologist who understands constructability and enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven estimating environment. You will play a key role in supporting estimating pursuits across multiple regional offices and contributing to competitive, well-structured bids.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed electrical estimates and support bid pursuits for new projectsReview drawings and specifications; complete take-offs and device countsDevelop RFIs, assess project risks, and identify key cost driversBuild accurate estimates using Accubid, supplier pricing, and site informationPresent estimates, assumptions, and risks during internal review meetingsSupport project handover, budgets, change orders, and contract requirementsQualifications & ExperienceJourneyperson Electrician, 4th-Year Electrical Apprentice, or Electrical Technologist diplomaStrong working knowledge of Accubid, Excel, and BluebeamSolid understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), wiring methods, and constructabilityDetail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working to tight deadlinesStrong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindsetValid driver’s licenceWhy Join This TeamCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageCompany-matched pension planSafety-first culture with active safety programsLong-term career development and growth opportunities
