Job Description
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring that all estimates are comprehensive and align with industry standards.
ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and complete estimates.Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing.Prepare and present bid proposals to clients.Track and analyze project costs to ensure estimates are within budget.Assist in the negotiation of contracts and procurement of materials.Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.Essential SkillsEstimationElectricalConstructionProject ManagementAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are efficiently allocated.Familiarity with electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical estimating software.Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.Understanding of financial principles to accurately forecast costs and manage budgets.Precision in reviewing plans and specifications to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for.Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.Ability to identify potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track.Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and other team members.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
