Job Description:

Actalent's client, a large international Engineering firm, is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will lead engineering projects, provide technical oversight, mentor junior staff, and support project execution from design through delivery. This role includes coordinating engineering activities, participating in internal and client meetings, supporting procurement activities, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate electrical engineering projects for energy-sector clients.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.

Participate in project meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.

Assist with equipment selection, specifications, and procurement processes.

Prepare and review engineering documentation, drawings, and technical reports.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Support design development and troubleshoot project execution issues as needed.

Top Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

P.Eng. designation with APEGA (or eligibility).

4+ years of experience in Canadian energy projects.

Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Experience participating in client or internal engineering meetings.

Ability to support equipment procurement and vendor coordination.

Additional Skills

Experience in oil & gas, power, or industrial projects.

Background mentoring junior staff or leading small project teams.

Familiarity with multidisciplinary design workflows.

Knowledge of procurement processes within engineering projects.
