Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Power Gen/Industrial)
Job Description
We are seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer with a focus on power generation, particularly in hydro, gas, and fossil power generating facilities. This role requires expertise in low and medium voltage power distribution, motor controls, interfacing industrial processes to DCS and/or PLC systems, and the use of power distribution system modeling software such as ETAP or SKM. The engineer will be responsible for interpreting, modifying, and developing various technical diagrams and drawings. Experience in renewables such as solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering efforts on project design through different milestones from start to finish.Coordinate with project managers and clients to develop proposal documents and estimates for bidding or change orders.Collaborate with drafters, designers, and other engineers on preparation and review of design drawings and packages.Perform design analysis using ETAP and/or SKM software.Participate in occasional site visits and meetings at client locations.Adhere strictly to electrical codes and standards including NEC and industrial electrical guidelines.Essential Skills
Proficiency in electrical engineering and power generation.Experience in electrical design and use of ETAP or SKM software.Ability to interpret and develop single line diagrams, AC/DC motor controls, panel front views, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.Knowledge of relay protection systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications
4-12 years of experience in the field.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher from an ABET accredited school.Experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation.Renewables experience such as solar and BESS.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
