Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Electrical Engineering Intern. In this role, you will support the Electrical & Utility Systems team on projects that span electrical power generation, distribution, lighting, and utility systems management. Example tasks include sub-system design, requirements development, schematic generation, electrical load analysis, voltage drop analysis, system integration and test, and aircraft trouble-shooting. Work will be performed within a smaller autonomous group in a highly dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of technical skills, interpersonal skills, and personal initiative and will be accomplished while working under the immediate direction of a supervisor/mentor. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
-Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field
-Understanding of fundamental concepts of power generation, distribution and protection; AC & DC circuit theory, three-phase systems, and power quality.
-Electrical Engineering lab or project experience.
-Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to present technical information clearly
Desired Skills:
-Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Teams
-Familiarity with Cameo and Model Based Systems Engineering.
-Analytical Thinking – ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop engineering solutions.
-Attention to Detail- Precise in calculations, modeling, and documentation.
-Team Orientation- collaborative mindset; able to contribute in multidisciplinary groups.
-Self-Starter- proactive in seeking assignments, asking clarifying questions, and learning new tools
-Time Management- able to balance multiple tasks and meet project milestones

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
