We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to design, program, and commission automated industrial systems. This role combines engineering design with hands-on fieldwork, offering the opportunity to take projects from concept through startup. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate electrical schematics using CAD softwareDevelop Bills of Material (BOMs), new assemblies, and part drawingsProgram PLCs and HMIs for automated machineryPerform system testing, field startup, commissioning, and troubleshootingWork safely with 480VAC equipment and industrial control panelsTune and commission motors using Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Perform load calculations and properly size wiring and componentsDesign conduit layouts, wire routing, and panel layoutsTravel to customer sites to support installation, startup, and serviceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experienceExperience with CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial control systemsStrong understanding of 480VAC power distribution and safety practicesAbility to read, design, and modify electrical schematics and technical drawingsStrong troubleshooting skills and comfort working in field environmentsWillingness to travel for customer support and commissioning workPreferred SkillsExperience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platformsFamiliarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and industrial electrical codesHands-on experience wiring control panels or working with automated equipmentMotor control experience including VFD tuning and servo systemsJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69/hr.
