Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the Engineering team to apply expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures that the company maintains a competitive edge in the marketplace.

ResponsibilitiesManage the manufacturing process for new electrical equipment using design software to produce schematics and oversee installation processes.Develop new products and work on improving existing products.Participate in the design and development of supplementary processes or equipment and troubleshoot existing processes and equipment.Assess and maintain electrical equipment and construct complex electrical and electronic appliances from wiring diagrams.Possess programming capability in PLC or equivalent software for machine control and communication among machine, HMI, and other components.Work with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations regarding equipment installations and other facility processes.Ensure projects meet legal requirements, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.Maintain awareness of external product and process technology, including competitors, through external networks, literature study, technical meetings, and conferences.Incorporate external information into the development of new products.Evaluate the capability of current manufacturing technologies, equipment, processes, and practices.Identify areas of opportunity to ensure the company remains competitive in the marketplace.Complete other duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.Support efforts to maintain high-quality standards as defined by BRC and other plant-wide initiatives.Essential SkillsPLC programmingElectrical designExperience with automated equipment and electrical design to produce schematics and commissioningKnowledge of scanners, packaging machines, and electronic systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in managing the manufacturing process for new electrical equipmentExperience in developing and improving productsUnderstanding of compliance with EPA and OSHA regulationsAwareness of external product and process technologyWork Environment

Work is split between the factory floor and office environments, providing the opportunity to be creative and autonomy to build solutions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Newton, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $79000.00 - $102000.00/yr.
