Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This role involves leading hardware design for new product development, focusing predominantly on analog circuit design. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept through schematic, PCB layout, design for manufacturing, testing, and release. This position also includes mentoring early-career engineers and acting as a technical leader. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and test engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Design analog and digital circuits, PCB layouts, and system-level architectures.Support development of PoE products, Ethernet cable testers, underground locators, and instrumentation hardware.Conduct hands-on troubleshooting using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and analyzers.Evaluate new technologies and contribute to product innovation.Create comprehensive design documentation including requirements, performance specifications, safety guidelines, and test plans.Participate in stage-gate product introduction and cross-functional project reviews.Engage with customers during testing and validation to provide technical support.Work independently with minimal direction within a small, fast-moving engineering team.Essential Skills
Strong analog hardware design experience, particularly in instrumentation, power supplies, and signal conditioning.Proficiency in using Altium for PCB design.10–15 years of engineering experience, with a focus on leadership and mentorship.Proven ability to design products from scratch through to release, including design for manufacturing.Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on laboratory experience.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Vista, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
