Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer - Nuclear Power ProjectsJob Description
Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Design Engineer, where you will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to modify existing power generation facilities and electrical systems for leading energy providers. Your role will involve designing, preparing, and integrating major electrical power equipment, as well as supporting engineering teams on a variety of client projects.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in the design, preparation, and integration of major electrical power equipment.
+ Prepare engineering calculations and electrical control circuit designs.
+ Perform tests and research problems using various sources of technical information.
+ Design or modify components and determine the intent of specifications/instructions.
+ Make recommendations on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors.
+ Provide support to engineering teams on various client projects.
+ Travel occasionally to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
+ 2 to 6 years of related practical work experience.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior nuclear experience is highly desirable.
+ Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Familiarity with electrical engineering, design calculations, and nuclear engineering concepts.
Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
