Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) platforms. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and ensure the functionality of electrical systems. Responsibilities + Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for UAS platforms. + Develop and debug microcontroller systems and circuits. + Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into UAS platforms. + Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation for electrical systems in UAS platforms. + Serve as the Avionics liaison between engineering and the production line. + Address and resolve non-conformances from the production line. + Develop and perform electrical tests and test procedures to verify system functionality. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical systems. Essential Skills + 7-8 years of experience in PCB layout, Altium, and PSpice. + Expertise in PCB Design, Layout and Test, with a main focus on Layout. + Proficiency in Altium for circuit board/harness design. + Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting circuits in UAS platforms. + Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies, and CAN bus communication. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work well in a team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Work Environment The work environment is fast-paced, primarily in the aerospace industry. Engineers will benefit from one of the fastest design cycles in the industry, allowing them to test their own designs and receive immediate feedback. Relocation support may be offered. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Luis Obispo, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
