As an electrical engineer, you will perform a variety of assignments including conceptual design, engineering analysis, detailed sub-system electrical design, integration, test, and manufacturing and field support. A strong candidate will possess a broad range of engineering skills and could perform as an individual contributor or as a team lead. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi-functional team environment with a diverse array of exciting technologies and products that directly support our nation’s war fighters.Responsibilities•\tPerform detailed design of integrated electrical and communications systems on vehicles.•\tPerform analysis, integration, and testing.•\tContribute to concept development as part of internal cross-functional design teams, including prototyping and production support.•\tPrepare high-quality formal engineering documentation such as drawings, presentations, specifications, design presentations to customers, test plans, and test reports.•\tSupport proposal activity, providing input to cost estimates and risk assessments.•\tMay lead a design team.•\tWill plan product development, produce technical white papers, and brief management/customers on planning and progress.

•\tBS Degree•\t2+ years of real world experience•\tExtensive design and integration experience in military and/or commercial systems, control systems, EMI/EMC, power and safety.•\tProven track record of innovation and problem solving in cross functional teams.•\tFamiliarity with Systems Engineering, and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation & test is required.•\tDesign and integration experience in some or all of the products and practices below:o\tCable designo\tWire Harness Designo\tHardware Safety and Risk analysiso\tRF link budgetso\tHardware Environmental and Electromagnetic qualification to military standardso\tHALT and ESS testingo\tGPS and RF communication systems integrationo\tAC and DC power and motors, motor controllers, and brakeso\tEthernet and networking, RS232/422, CAN buso\tBatteries (Lithium)o\tPower converterso\tFault tree development and criticality analysiso\tProgramming and algorithm developmento\tGrounding and environmental controlo\tPower test equipment such as electronic load banks•\tThe candidate should have hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical cabling and digital communication•\tWired Ethernet and Network configuration experience is a plus•\tUS Citizenship is required•\tEligible to obtain a security clearance-Candidates MUST be US Citizens and eligible for a clearance. They can start without a clearance.-Candidates can sit out of Hunt Valley OR Slidell, LA where the ARV is being manufactured and tested.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $90.00/hr.
