**Description** SAIC is currently hiring for an Electrical Engineer in Lakehurst NJ. **This position is ONSITE in Lakehurst NJ.** **Job Duties:** + Provides professional electrical engineering technical support to the full scope of assigned projects in naval or maritime applications, including field or on-site engineering services. + Performs feasibility analyses and design/development, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new components and engineering changes. + Develops and reviews plans, specifications, and estimates to identify and resolve technical issues. + Interprets data and performs studies and investigations to propose new or improved system designs, design criteria, and installation, operational, and maintenance practices. + Has familiarity with and follows the Systems Engineering process to clearly identify program/project risks and technical barriers. + Takes direction and tasking from supervisor and senor engineering team leads, provides status, and accomplishes work assignments meeting quality and schedule expectations. + Performs and documents troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions in support of test site activities and efforts to commission, certify, deliver, and sustain Ford Class aircraft carriers. **Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering (BSEE) and five (5) years of experience. + Possesses experience in design and development of new components and engineering changes, by leveraging systems engineering processes to reduce risk. + Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge and viewpoints. + Has technical experience with low-power systems, complex programmable logic devices (CPLD), programmable logic controllers (PLC), computers, and human interfaces. + Has been successful in the execution of technical projects within and electro-mechanical system. + Preferred – Has technical experience with high-power systems up to 13.8kVA. + Familiarity with the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process a plus. **Required Security Clearance:** + Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
