Electrical Designer Details:

Direct Hire position$55,000.00 to $75,000.00 /annuallyFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 03:00pm)Design and detail of equipment electrical parts and systemsDesign of panel layouts and interconnection diagramsSupport research and development of new equipment through imagination and original ideasCreate economical assemblies with safety and durability as the key ingredientsInterpret and integrate electrical drawings/models from clients and vendorsDetailing (drafting) of equipment electrical parts and systemsDetailing (drafting) of panel layouts and interconnection diagramsPurchase components associated with projectsSupport electrical department change requestsInteract with vendors to determine application of technology updatesTroubleshoot equipment issues during shop assembly

Electrical Designer Qualifications:

2-year associates degree (A.S.) in Electrical Engineering or 5 years progressive experienceProficiency with a 2D drafting package: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault a plusProficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OutlookKnowledge of basic electrical system design and components such as contractors, fuses, relays, terminal blocks and transformersCapable of independently solving problems and bringing the problems to resolutionKnowledge of various types of electrical components and assemblies such as VFD’s, PLC’s and SensorsWell organized and detail orientedMust be able to work in a team environmentMust effectively communicate with employees, vendors and clientsKnowledge of basic electrical engineering principles a plusLimited travel required for site evaluationsPosition may require applicant to come in contact with raw and processed food/beverages including red meat/pork, gluten, nuts and seeds, eggs, flour, milk, yeast and alcoholUL 508A MTR certification or willing to obtain
