As an Electrical Designer, you’ll play a critical role on a multi‑disciplinary project team, contributing to the planning, analysis, and design of complex electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. You’ll have the chance to work end‑to‑end—from concept through construction—while making a visible impact on high‑profile capital projects.

What You’ll Be DoingDesign and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, protection and controls, grounding, and site/facility electrical layoutsCreate and refine electrical schematics, grid plans, wiring diagrams, relay panel schematics, and construction documentationPerform problem analysis, design layouts, and calculations for non‑routine and complex design assignmentsApply engineering standards, design codes, and client specifications to ensure high‑quality, compliant designsExecute design updates, redlines, and markups throughout the project lifecycleReview drawings for quality, constructability, scope alignment, budget, and schedule adherenceAnalyze reports, drawings, and test data to support informed design decisionsPrepare conduit, grounding, equipment, and panel wiring takeoffs and volume calculationsMaintain organized, accurate project files and revision historiesCollaborate directly with clients and internal teams through clear, concise written and verbal communicationParticipate in occasional site visits to assess existing conditions and support design developmentWhat We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

One of the following:Bachelor’s degree in Drafting or Design with 7+ years of related experienceAssociate degree with 8+ years of related experienceHigh school diploma with 9+ years of progressive detailing and electrical design experience5+ years of AutoCAD electrical design experienceAdvanced proficiency with 2D and 3D design applications for engineering drawingsStrong understanding of engineering calculations, electrical systems, and design principlesExperience using AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation for electrical design

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $46.99/hr.
