Overview:
We are currently hiring a Sr. Electrical Designer with marine experience. This position will be a part of the Habitability Department/Team.
Description:
Design electrical systems using ship-checks, as-builts, standards, reference material, vendor information, etc. in support of Habitability Improvement Program.Develop Ship Installation Drawings in AutoCAD.Check and review drawings.Interpret and apply technical correspondence, specifications, and manuals.Draft technical correspondence.Write and communicate clearly and precisely of problems and solutions.Communicate information and changes to multi discipline program to ensure composite Ship Installation Drawing package.Survey/Shipcheck and document conditions on-board NAVY surface ships to facilitate complete and accurate Ship Installation Drawing development.Qualifications:
US Citizenship.10 years of relevant experience. (US Navy or shipyard related experience required.)Ability to do local shipchecks.Preferred:
Active Secret Clearance. (Candidates who have the experience, but not an active clearance will still be considered, but those with the clearance will have priority)Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Hampton, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
