Job Title: Electrical DesignerJob Description

The Design Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the design of various projects nationwide. Design tasks will include creation of plans, schematics, equipment selection, load calculations, and specifications. This position requires the engineer to effectively and fluidly work with senior level associates in all efforts to execute each project. This person is expected to work closely with clients and project managers to ensure the success of each project from start to finish. These responsibilities include attending project meetings, which will require traveling to project locations to perform surveys and other tasks.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design of various projects nationwide.Create plans, schematics, equipment selection, load calculations, and specifications.Work effectively with senior level associates to execute each project.Collaborate closely with clients and project managers to ensure project success.Attend project meetings and travel to project locations to perform surveys and other tasks.Essential Skills2–5 years of experience in electrical design/drafting in buildings.Working proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.Understanding of NEC basics, circuiting, panel schedules, and lighting layouts.Ability to collaborate in a multi‑discipline team.Additional Skills & QualificationsEIT preferred.Willingness to travel.Excellent technical writing skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Effective presentation skills.Proven ability to work both solo and as part of a team.Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.Ability to excel at concept formation, problem-solving, and design.Work Environment

The work environment consists of standard office hours from 8 AM to 5 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. This position offers a hybrid work model, with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays. The team comprises 15 people and engages in diverse projects such as office interiors, data centers, financial institutes, schools, healthcare, and infrastructure projects. This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
