Job Title: Electrical DesignerJob Description We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support a wide variety of project types, including residential homes, apartments, condos, industrial and commercial buildings, retail spaces, restaurants, fire stations, and religious facilities. The role is based in an office with over 10 engineering professionals, offering guidance and leadership from senior engineers and designers. Responsibilities + Collaborate with engineers and other designers in the building electrical design process by developing BIM models, single-line diagrams, power plans, lighting plans, details, and other specifications. + Perform calculations, size equipment, and conduct BIM clash detection and resolution. + Work both independently and collaboratively on design projects. + Provide oversight, training, and mentoring to less experienced designers. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Revit with over 3 years of experience in facilities power and lighting designs. + Experience in electrical design, power distribution, and low voltage systems. + Proficiency in AutoCAD. + A minimum of 3 years of experience performing electrical design for an engineering consulting firm. + Experience must include power and lighting for buildings. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with a diverse range of project types is advantageous. + Strong communication skills for direct interaction with licensed and senior engineers, as well as company leadership. Work Environment The role requires full-time office presence during the training/contract period, with the possibility of one work-from-home day for permanent employees. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BOCA RATON, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
