Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Designer for our Electrical Division. In this role you will be responsible for design responsibilities for Design/Build construction projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Design electrical systems with AutoCAD and Revit, based on established standards for products, components, and applicationsAssist Electrical Engineers with electrical design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)Assist with department representatives, architects, engineers, and consultants to establish project requirements, and specificationsAssist with the development and approval of engineering construction drawingsAssist with preparation of project documentationContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesOther duties as assigned Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree in Design, Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent education and experienceExperience working for a contractor on electrical systems design or in the field is a plusAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentSmall amount of travel is expected with this position as required for project design and executionComputer literate with MS Office product offerings including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit and Navisworks is a plusAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, in both written and oral workAll applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United StatesValid driver’s license and good driving recordRegular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required Equal Opportunity Employer As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
