This role will play a key role as a hardware engineering team member developing and sustaining data storage and transfer systems for the Data Systems Product Line, while contributing directly to hardware development efforts on programs.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Creatively design, develop and verify complex circuits, modules and systems to meet customer and market requirements.  This position is for a recognized proficient Hardware Electrical Engineer. Assisting in review of system electrical requirements from product management and/or customers Developing schematics and PCB designs for rugged electronics and computer systems Driving design functional specifications and supporting documentation Collaborating with other functional disciplines to create and share solutions Supporting electrical compliance testing to military and aerospace electrical standards Developing test plans and assisting in creating test procedures Drive board bring and debug, test and verification of electrical designs Interfacing with suppliers and customers to address technical issues Product requirement testing and validation Detailed design documentation

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and typically 4+ years of related experience Experience designing of hardware/electrical products from concept to completion Experience creating detailed design specifications, test plans, and verification reports Experience developing schematics for PCB design Experience supporting CAD and Signal Integrity (SI) Lab Debug skills for both HW/SW that range from new development to continued sustaining This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance in the future.  Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. Minimal travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

Designing for ruggedized military and space environments An active DoD Secret Clearance Cadence Allegro experience for CAD/SI layout and simulation Schematic integrity checking analysis with Mentor Valydate or equivalent Analysis including derating, reliability, and FMECA Designing Military and Space Grade Components and Operating Environments Commercial/Defense 3U/6U VPX (VITA46, VITA65) Experience in power supply design and EMI compliance (CE EMI and MIL-STD-461G) Design with Radiation Tolerant Grade Components and Operating Environments Design for Reliability (DFR), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Cost (DFC)
