Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
Assist in directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for design, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within an assignment. Contribute to analyzing engineering schematics, specifications, and related data to determine design factors. Produce accurate and thoroughly self-verified electrical device and panel layouts, motor, control, I/O schematics, and bill of materials. Review design for compliance with engineering specs, company standards, and customer contract requirements. Provide project support to field engineers, project managers, purchasing, and panel fabricators. Utilize computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs. Communicate task completion status effectively. Design and develop layouts for electrical circuits or systems for power distribution, assisting in the production of detailed schematics. Interface with customers on a limited basis for installation and commissioning support to design modifications needed to support project needs.

Proficiency in electrical design and AutoCAD software.Experience in control panel design and schematic production.Knowledge in PLC programming and HMI graphics.Understanding of UL508a, NEC, and NFPA 70e regulations.Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes.Familiarity with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to design.Work Environment
This position is based in an onsite office environment with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, either 8-5 or 7-4. Opportunities to explore other markets such as Cincinnati, Atlanta, or Dallas with monthly visits are available.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
