Job Description: Electrical Design Engineer
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for system drafting and engineering, focusing on designing skids in AutoCAD Electrical based on sold jobs. You will collaborate with the applications and sales teams to develop engineering solutions, ensuring the accuracy of systems by comparing Electrical Line/GA Drawings with P&ID drawings to system quotes.
Responsibilities
Engage in System Drafting (50%) by designing skids using AutoCAD Electrical.Collaborate with applications and sales teams to develop engineering solutions.Ensure system accuracy by comparing Electrical Line/GA Drawings with P&ID drawings.Perform System Engineering (25%) by providing necessary Power Drop and load calculations/single line drawings for system designs.Work with OEM Vendors and ensure UL508A design compliance.Provide notes/instructions to ensure fabricators adhere to NEC standards.Handle Revision & As-Built Drawings (15%) by completing as-built drawings and revisions per customer markups.Coordinate with sales/AE's for scope support changes or engineering solutions.Provide Electrical Engineering Support (10%) by supporting the Panel Shop Supervisor.Engage in Electrical Integration Design and field electrical support for the service team.Assist AE's/Sales in developing their S&E's and participate in electrical inspection and testing.Essential Skills
4-5 years of AutoCAD design experience, preferably in designing control panels.Ability to identify and read electrical schematics.Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the wastewater/fluid handling industry.PLC Experience.Experience with three-phase motors, 240V, and 120V systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and schematic design.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bartlett, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
