We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motor starters. The role involves reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, diagnosing control system failures, and collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams for system upgrades.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical control systems including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motor starters.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Perform diagnostics and root cause analysis on control system failures.Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement system upgrades and retrofits.Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.Document changes to control logic, wiring diagrams, and maintenance records.Support commissioning of new equipment and assist in system integration projects.Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience.Must have experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) of any kind.10 years of technician experience is preferred.Ability to understand and troubleshoot BMS Systems.
Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) interfaces and devices.Familiarity with Automated Logic, Siemens controls, and similar control systems.Extensive training in safety practices and ability to assess tasks to determine necessary equipment and develop procedures.Familiarity with basic HVAC and electrical codes.Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.Compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and directives related to building operations and work safety.Technical ability in the repair and maintenance of industrial HVAC and plumbing systems.Positive attitude and good work ethics.Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment
This role involves working onsite at the Fremont Kato location, with travel to the Fremont Factory as needed. The company is building out a new team of engineers to handle maintenance backlogs. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, with some Saturdays as required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56.00 - $60.00/hr.
