We are in search of an electrical/controls design engineer to supplement our Client's existing engineers in support of current projects and design of future projects. As a controls engineer, you should have excellent mathematical skills, familiarity with electrical systems, CAD software, and PLC programming experience. Moreover, you should have a keen attention to detail and strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills. This job will allow you to expand your knowledge of electrical panel design and controls programming by working with many different PLC, HMI, and VFD manufacturers. Responsibilities:Electrical•\tDevelop electrical schematics in CAD for control panels•\tPower up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications•\tHelp establish new standards and maintain existing ones•\tCheck work quality of assemblers and technicians and respond to inquiries as needed•\tResearch and program new VFDs as required per customer requirements •\tWork with the sales group to provide input with quote preparation as required•\tAssist with wiring up machines and skidded system in our shopSoftware•\tDesign and develop software applications (PLC and HMI) based on provided requirements and specifications•\tUnderstand client requirements for communication interface/networking and create specifications based on these requirements•\tReview, repair, and redesign legacy code•\tTroubleshoot issues with existing installed systems•\tWrite user manuals to communicate functionality of company developed programs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
