Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Controls EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to develop innovative products by interpreting customer needs and establishing electrical product specifications. The role involves designing electrical systems, writing PLC logic, and completing comprehensive electrical documentation. The engineer will ensure new products meet all functional and non-functional specifications, including safety, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability. Additionally, the role involves conducting validation tests to address operational issues and applying engineering theories to solve complex problems. This position is heavily focused on programming (70%) and hardware (30%).

ResponsibilitiesDevelop new electrical products based on customer needs.Design electrical systems and complete electrical documentation.Write PLC logic to meet product specifications.Ensure products meet safety, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability standards.Conduct validation tests and devise solutions for operational issues.Apply engineering theories to solve complex problems.Identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in electrical controls engineering.Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Allen Bradley or Siemens systems.Experience in control panel design and AutoCAD.Knowledge of network communications between PLCs and VFDs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Studio5000 and TIA Portal.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to actively design control panels and write programs for them.Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing and office environment. The role offers an opportunity for those currently in a travel role to transition to a position with only 5% travel. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
