**Electrical & Automation Engineer – Owensboro, KY area | Onsite | Day Shift**
Join a leading metals manufacturer as an Electrical & Automation Engineer, where you'll drive innovation and reliability in a high-performance production environment. This is a full-time, onsite role supporting the Automotive Body Sheet (ABS) department.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Design, implement, and optimize electrical and automation systems (PLCs, drives, HMIs)
+ Lead capital and maintenance projects to improve equipment performance and safety
+ Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in a 24/7 production facility
+ Collaborate across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams
+ Maintain and develop safety systems and automation backups
**What You’ll Bring:**
+ BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
+ Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC programming, including ladder, function block, and structured text programming languages.
+ Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 and 750 series drives.
+ Strong troubleshooting and project management skills
+ Experience in unionized environments and continuous manufacturing preferred
+ Siemens (S7 & TIA Portal) PLC programming, IBA software, and Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
