**Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician**
**Job Description**
Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will play a vital role in performing automated lay-up machine set-up and operation. You will be responsible for composite lay-up fabrication and assembly tasks using materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other lightweight components. Your expertise will be critical in utilizing fabrication tooling materials and operating automated/motorized equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform automated lay-up machine set-up and operation.
+ Execute composite lay-up fabrication and assembly tasks with carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other lightweight materials.
+ Utilize fabrication tooling materials and automated/motorized equipment.
+ Use blueprints or engineering drawings to guide assembly tasks.
+ Select the correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, standards, and hardware to complete work statements.
+ Report job constraints such as errors caused by workmanship defects, parts, materials, assembly procedures, tools, and sequences.
+ Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests.
+ Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of electrical installation/assembly experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints.
+ Proficiency in electrical assembly and wiring.
+ Skillful use of hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques.
+ Experience with fabrication processes.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of New Orleans, LA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $32.00/hr.
