Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician
Job Description

Responsible for complete mechanical and electrical assembly of units from start to finish using a variety of hand and power tools. This role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, as well as knowledge of computers, including Excel and data entry. The technician will read schematics, wire diagrams, and service manuals to build units, and must be able to layout and build control panels, such as PLCs and drives, though programming is not required. Additional tasks include assembling conveyors, installing motors, and building panel boards, as well as assisting with other tasks around the facility, such as warehouse and packaging duties. The installation of wiring, electric components, and panels is of utmost importance.

ResponsibilitiesComplete mechanical and electrical assembly of units using hand and power tools.Read and interpret schematics, wire diagrams, and service manuals.Layout and build control panels, including PLCs and drives.Assemble conveyors and install motors.Troubleshoot and repair components.Perform repetitive tasks and high-level assembly work.Assist with various facility tasks such as warehouse and packaging duties.Install wiring, electric components, and panels.Essential SkillsMechanical and electrical aptitude.Knowledge of computers, including Excel and data entry.Ability to read schematics and blueprints.Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly.Experience with computer software beyond Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsTroubleshooting and repairing electrical components.Experience with gears, drives, and pneumatic systems.Panel building and hardware installation.Familiarity with automation and wiring.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes an 8am to 5pm schedule with a one-hour lunch break, offering some flexibility in start times based on childcare needs. The assembly area and warehouse are climate-controlled, and the facility is a newer building located off Easport Boulevard.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
